Social Studies
courses provide students with a rich and rigorous curriculum guiding students to develop social understanding, critical thinking, and civic responsibility necessary for making important decisions in the 21st century.
The Civics
course is intended for 9th graders and provides a basic understanding of how government
works.
World Studies
, the 10th grade course, focuses on ancient civilizations, world geography, and global cultural relations.
U.S. History
, an 11th grade course, provides a chronicle of United States history from Pre-constitution to current times.
Government
and
Economics
are both semester courses designed for 12th grade students.
Currently the only elective for Social Studies is
Psychology.
